Sustainable mango wood is used to make this frame. Mango trees are grown for their fruit but eventually trees stop bearing fruit. At that time, trees can be cut down and used to create wood products like this frame. The removal of the old wood is necessary to make space for farmers to plant new mango trees. This provides two benefits: extra income for mango farmers and a use for wood that would otherwise be wasted.

    I have both sizes of this frame and they are really stunning - great quality. However there is just something about the larger size that is very striking.

    I love all the Nkuku frames on this site... the quality is just much higher than most other fair trade shops and website that I've shopped.
