Batik bib - school of fish blue

Fair trade batik bib has a tie closure and is made of 100% cotton. Fun blue fish design made by the ancient art of batik; back lined with recycled flour sack. During the batik process, hot batik wax is painted or stamped onto the fabric, which is then dyed. After one or more dyeings, the batik wax is removed, revealing differently colored patterns and designs.

This fair trade bib was made in Ghana by Lady Volta Batik, a batking and seweing cooperative. The artisans were paid a living wage for their work through the fair trade organization Global Mamas. Global Mamas supports the sustainable development of women artisans by producing and exporting fair trade products.
