This recycled fair trade toiletry bag was made in Ghana by the Trashy Bags Sewing Center. Trash and pollution are some of the biggest problems in Ghana and the majority of litter is drink sachets. However, Trashy Bags Sewing Center has decided to take advantage of this durable material by using the discarded sachets to create unique products. They strive to clean up Ghanian streets but also to inform the public about the issue with drink sachets. 

The artisans were paid a living wage for their work through the fair trade organization Global Mamas. Global Mamas supports the sustainable development of women artisans by producing and exporting fair trade products.
