Ellie Pooh boxed stationery set

Fair trade stationery set is made out of elephant dung! Set contains 10 envelopes and 20 sheets of 5" x 7" acid free paper. There are no toxic chemicals used in the paper making process. Natural vegetative binding agents, along with water-soluble salt dyes for coloring are used. 

This fair trade and eco friendly stationery set was handcrafted with a mixture of elephant dung and rice paddy (75% elephant dung). The paper was pulped to perfection by the elephants of Sri Lanka, manufactured by Maximus and distributed throughout the US by Mr. Ellie Pooh! 

Maximus is a socially responsible company in Sri Lanka that strives to improve conservation and the artisans' economic stability. In Sri Lanka, many elephants have been killed simply because they interfere with local agribusiness. A solution for Sri Lankans and elephants alike has been to find ways to utilize the elephant as a sustainable economic resource. What a great way to support fair trade artisans and endangered elephants!
