Kids apron - daisy patch pink

Fair trade apron for kids has a front pocket and is made of 100% cotton. Fun pink and daisy design made by the ancient art of batik. During the batik process, hot batik wax is painted or stamped onto the fabric, which is then dyed. After one or more dyeings, the batik wax is removed, revealing differently colored patterns and designs.

This fair trade kids apron was made in Ghana by three women. The two batikers who helped make this apron are Elizabeth Ampiah and Emma Myers. The seamstress who helped make this apron is Molly Linda Dhan. The three of them were paid a living wage for their work through the fair trade organization Global Mamas. Global Mamas supports the sustainable development of women artisans by producing and exporting fair trade products.
