This fair trade leather bound journal was made in Rajasthan, India. All the leather used is “cruelty free”, which means the leather was obtained from naturally dead animals. The paper used is cotton-derived making it 100% tree free. Artisans at the Eco Friendly Papers workshop collect cotton waste, such as rags, and turn it into a pulp. The final result is a rich texture paper, great for writing, drawing and painting. Thanks to the help of the fair trade organization Handmade Expressions, the income generated by this product supports numerous artisans and their families, as well as the development of the community.
