This fair trade purse was designed through a collaboration of fashion designers in New York City, Madagascar and Kenya. It was then handcrafted by artisans in Madagascar using traditional techniques and renewable materials such as bamboo, coconut shell and raffia. They received a fair price for their final product and proceeds are reinvested in local community and economic development.
