Set of 3 - Recycled Oil Drum Large Birds From Haiti

Artisan Winzor Gouin tells his story of how he came to make this metal art from recycled oil drums:

"My mother played an important role in my metal sculpture learning. It was not easy [to learn] because you hammer in using a chisel in your hand. As I know it was necessary to learn, 'cause I saw in advance that I could earn my life through it; so I spent a great number of time learning it."

This fair trade recycled metal wall art was made by Winzor Gouin in Haiti. He begins with a 55 gallon oil barrel. Winzor first splits open the drum, flattens it out, and then sketches out the design with chalk, and cuts the steel using only a hammer and nail.

100% recycled material (recycled metal oil drum). Makes a great unique, socially conscious wedding gift.
